Leadership Curriculum (LC) has been working towards being completely paperless by January 2015. At a time when more and more importance is being placed on the need to reduce our carbon footprint thus minimising our use of paper and avoid incurring huge cost through printing and couriers. LC currently spends around £15,000 per intake across all three courses (NPQH, NPQSL and NPQML): which for two intakes is a massive £30,000 a year. Taking steps to become paperless will only bring about a positive change
To allow us to achieve this we are using the online learning platform Canvas to facilitate the courses instead. Canvas will allow trainees to receive updates online, register attendance, access resources, submit work, create sub-groups, chat between colleagues and we are still discovering more.
